All over Blue (2005)

Besetzung: Klavier solo

Bemerkung: Jim Aitchinson (2025): Composed for Andrew Russo for the 2005 Van Cliburn ‘Modern at the Modern’ concert series at the Fort Worth Modern Art Museum in Dallas, USA, after ‘Maritime Blues’, a painting by Sir Terry Frost. The painting depicts several abstracted boat-like curves over a background of blue stripes of varying shades. The curves, perhaps, evoke one form in several stages of undulating motion: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ur35d4d5KEA
